FRP Beam Strengthening (Pro)

FRP Beam Strengthening-Pro is sectional analysis software. It is designed and tested for rectangular, Tee and inverted  reinforced concrete beams strengthened with Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) sheets, plates and NSM FRP bars or tape.
FRP Beam Strengthening-Pro is specialized in flexural analysis with up to four layers of reinforcing steel(one compression layer and up to three tension layers). The software inputs are divided into material and geometrical properties,
where every category covers the different properties for concrete, steel and FRP. This version is equipped with a flexural design tool to meet all the strength and serviceability requirements, where the required number of flexural FRP plies is calculated. The software operates under SI units or US customary units as well as converting between the two systems of units.

Complete Geometrical and material definition

The software inputs are divided into material and geometrical properties, where every category covers the different properties for concrete, steel and FRP.

Full Flexural Analysis

A complete flexural analysis is presented with a to-scale cross section and strain profile. The results show a complete strength and serviceability calculation. All detailed calculations could be printed through the “Report”button.

Rectangular, Tee and Inverted L sections

The software analyzes recangular and Tee as well as Inverted L sections, covering the most common cross sections for flexural beams and girders.

Inverted L for external cast-together beams and slabs

Inverted L cross sections are very common  in residential and commercial buildings. 

FRP sheets and Plates

Complete analysis for sections strengthened with FRP sheets or plates. The number of plies, ply width and ply thickness are the geometrical properties for the FRP sheets. 

FRP (Near Surface Mounted Bars) NSM

Complete analysis for sections strengthened with FRP bars or tapes. The number of bars, bar area and bars depth are the geometrical properties for the FRP NSM bars/tapes.

Flexural Design tool

This version is equipped with a flexural design tool to meet all the strength and serviceability requirements, where the required number of flexural FRP plies is calculated.

Tabulated Design Data

The software generates a list of all reasonable possible designs, capturing the related variables and failure modes.
